Traxxas T Maxx R/C Truck

Chassis, Drivetrain, and On -Board Components
The chassis for the T Maxx has been extended 30mm for increased stability with a 4.2" ground clearance, in large part due to the large 6.3" tires, which has led to positive reviews.
The chassis is 4mm thick, made from T-6 aluminum and finished in anodized blue.
To protect the center driveline and transmission a sub frame and skid plate are integrated into the design.
The differentials on the monster truck are tunable with a variety of options, for different environments and running conditions and are confined within a sealed housing.
The T Maxx comes with a forward only 2 speed auto shifting transmission and can be adjusted to shift earlier or later. Standard and special gear ratio's can be installed to meet a variety of different conditions.
Spur gears can also be changed on the Revo Spec Slipper clutch without altering any adjustments to achieve the results you desire.
The T Maxx has durable rubber sealed driveshafts in the center, forward and rear sections of the model and get high marks from drivers.
The high torque steering servo is digital and provides 125 oz. in. of torque with 0.16 transit speed, but the servo is not waterproof.  Keep in mind, if you change out stock tires, which by the way have received positive feedback,  the servo may be sluggish depending on your tire selection.
Fully adjustable oil filled shocks are tunable for maximum performance. Clip on spacers are used to adjust spring pre-load to insure the same adjustments are made on each shock.  The suspension is fully adjustable, 8  shocks are mounted 2 on each wheel, with up to 10 different mounting positions.
Double o-rings seals on the shock bodies prevent leaking.
A 4 wheel independent suspension provides 4 " of travel on each corner.

                                                                                      Nitro Power
TRX 3.3 Nitro Engine

Powering the Traxxas T Maxx is the TRX 3.3 racing engine, it features a slide carburetor, and a power tune cooling head.
For maximum performance and prolonged engine life, a break in procedure is a must and will need to be completed properly before the engine can reach it maximum potential. Tuning can be inconsistent until the engine is properly tuned, many have commented it likes to run a bit on the rich side.
A dyno-tuned aluminum exhaust pipe has been added to deliver maximum horsepower.
Sometimes overlooked in engine design is the air filter, traxxas stepped it up with a larger high volume 2-stage air filter. The filter element is easy to access maintain, and clean.
The TRX 3.3 has plenty of power and torque, and drivers often comment that the Traxxas T Maxx is capable of pulling off wheelies with ease.
The Traxxas EZ Start system is used to bring the TRX 3.3 to life. Many users like the EZ Start system but feelings are mixed and some eventually switch to a pull start system, which I don't fully understand at this point.

Advanced Radio System
The TQi 2.4 GHz radio system has a variety of advanced features that assists drivers in tuning their models for maximum performance.
The radio system is capable of connecting wirelessly to the latest Traxxas Link App, and with bluetooth connectivity on your apple or android devices, you will have tuning or telemetry options, available through an HD interface.
While you focus on driving a friend or co-driver can monitor telemetry like speed, rpm, temperature, and voltage, with the capability of making any adjustments remotely.
You can select the dashboard configuration that suites you, and display up to 9 gauges at 1 time, record data for future reference.  Control steering and throttle sensitivity, braking strength, throttle trim, or steering percentage by dragging sliders on screen or by using the function knob on the transmitter.

Comments from Drivers
Make sure you break the engine in properly by following the procedure from Traxxas.
Love it !  Had issue with slipper clutch, but Traxxas sent and replaced the parts for free.
Read the manual before all else, great truck overall, Avoid hitting things, can break a lot of parts.
Fun to drive, great acceleration, durable, rolled it several times, nothing broke though.
Great truck, one thing I don't like it takes AA batteries for receiver and servos, the batteries don't last very long,  a battery pack can be purchased.

Final Thoughts
As you can see in the video the T Maxx overall is a good performer, is it Perfect ?  No there are a few things that could be improved, upgrades are available to suite your needs and driving style.
