The HoverShot arrives pre-assembled with everything you need to get you in the air within minutes out of the box.
Simply charge the 1S 650 mah LiPo battery with the included USB charger, and install the AAA batteries in the transmitter and your ready to fly.
With the 720p FPV camera on board the Mini Drone you are equipped to capture video and still imagery with the included
2G micro memory card.
The model can be flown indoors or outdoors, if flying outdoors, I would recommend flying in light to moderate winds, in winds above 10 mph the mini drone will tend to move around quite a bit and the video or photo imagery can and most likely will be affected by the movement.
FEATURES
Flight Modes and Features
There are two available flight modes on the Mini Drone, whether your a beginner or advanced pilot you have the opportunity to choose the features you need in order to fly the way you desire.
Auto Take Off and Landing - with a push of a button you can take off or land automatically. On the top left side of the controller you will find the button labeled for this feature. The quad will lift off the ground about 3 ft into a hover position.
Altitude Hold - with this feature you can focus on the target you intend to capture, via video or still image, the HoverShot Mini Drone will hover in place until you decide its time to move on.
Flip Feature - The HoverShot is capable of performing flips. To Flip the model simply press in on the left stick, then push the right stick in the direction you want to flip, then release both sticks so your ready for your next move after the flip.
Transmitter MR101- The controller features interference - free flying with 2.4GHz technology.
One thing that I like is the clearly labeled feature buttons, including the separate video and camera buttons.
The transmitter also features a holding device for your mobile device
Dual Rates - this feature is good especially for beginners, you can keep your rates low while your learning to fly, as you enhance your skills you can increase the rates for a more agile flight.
The sensitivity rate of the controls can be adjusted manually.
Low Voltage Warnings - As your battery loses voltage during flight and gets near its low point, the LED's on the HoverShot will begin to flash. After 30 seconds the drone will begin to land automatically.
When your transmitter batteries get to a critical low point, your transmitter will beep 5 times rapidly to let you know the batteries need to be changed.
Note: Flight time ranges from about 7 to 10 minutes.
Camera - The camera onboard the HoverShot Mini Drone is capable of capturing video or still images.
The camera lens can be adjusted manually from a level standpoint down to a 45 degree angle.
The included memory card is easy to insert on the left side of the quadcopter body.
Droneview App - the app can be downloaded free from Apple Store or Google Play and can be used on your wifi capable apple devices or android.
Note: Up to 2 devices can be used simultaneously.
The App will allow you to connect to the droneview camera to utilize FPV. (First Person View) as well as shoot video and take images, and uploading or viewing right from your mobile device.
A phone mount is included on the transmitter to hold your mobile device.

Slight delay in video using Drone App, makes flying with FPV a bit difficult, without flying within a total line of sight.
My Final Thoughts
Overall the HoverShot Mini Drone is a great entry level quadcopter for anyone looking to get there feet wet in the drone world, but suitable for advanced pilots as well. The camera footage image quality is actually quite good but obviously not professional grade. But hey, for the affordable price tag on the HoverShot it is a good buy.
