Features

Radio Control System -included with the Bandit is a 2.4GHz  2 channel transmitter. With this system there are no channels or frequencies to deal with. Just simply turn on the radio controller and your ready to roll.
The system is simple to program and customize to your liking, factory set servo's are easily reversed, the controller is comfortable in your hand for extended driving periods, the unique design is ideal for concealing the internal antenna to protect it from external forces.
There are 3 driving modes for drivers to choose from.
Training Mode- 50% Forward / Brake / 50% Reverse ( Great for Beginners)
Sport Mode - Forward / Brake / Reverse
Race Mode - Forward / Brake

Brushed Power  - A modified Titan 12-turn 550 motor is responsible for the power on the Traxxas Bandit. The brushed motor can push the Bandit to speeds beyond the 35 mph mark with the included optional 31 tooth pinion gear.
Keeping any R/C motor cool can be a challenge, it seems to be common in the industry. Traxxas has included a cooling fan on the Titan 12T 550 that pulls air through the motor in an attempt to keep temperatures down.
Note: The Titan 550 is designed for applications up to 8.4 volts with single motor and single battery pack setups.
Before running make sure you break your motor in properly as per traxxas instructions to seat the brushes and clean any debris out of the motor.
Recommend that you let the motor cool down between runs, to prolong the life of the motor.

Comments from Bandit Owners
Fast and Fun. Good R/C car, nice features and design, suggest you get anaconda tires if you will be running on pavement.
Bought this for my husbands on his birthday, he loves it, neighbor had one, my husband was salivating every time he saw the guy driving his.
This is the car that got me hooked, now I have a Traxxas Stampede VXL 4x4 with 3s LiPo batteries. Expensive but worth it.
Great starter car that leaves you wanting more
A great addition to our Traxxas Family of vehicles, bought the Traxxas Bandit XL-5 for my son. We have a blast on and off road, love the Traxxas line of R/C cars and parts.

Overall Thoughts
The Traxxas Bandit XL-5 certainly has a lot going for it. Is it flawless ? Certainly not, but in my opinion this is a great entry level R/C buggy for beginners, first off it is reasonably priced, with variable driving modes, good speed, great handling and jumping characteristics make it an ideal choice for someone who has never driven an R/C vehicle before.
