The Mamba Micro X Crawler edition is the latest addition for the crawling crowd.
There are 3 different motor combinations with the Crawler Edition.
1 ) ESC with 1406 1900KV sensored motor combo.
Ideal for low speed crawling or trail blazing in RC vehicles weighing less than 8lbs. on 2s or 3s batteries.
It can also be utilized in a bit more aggressive applications including rock racing or extended hill climbing on vehicles weighing up to 4lbs.
For more aggressive setups in heavier models castle creations recommends the Mamba X ESC with the same motor.
2) ESC with 1406 2280KV sensored motor combo

Auxiliary Advantage- a new feature on the mamba micro X Castle Motor is an auxiliary wire that is programmable and allows you to make adjustments on the fly.
A variety of settings can be precisely tuned, including max throttle and torque control.
The performance of your ESC can be done directly from the transmitter using an auxiliary channel on the receiver.
This function by default is disabled until it has been programmed thru Castle Link. Once programmed the function of the aux wire is capable of handling adjustments while you drive from a compatible transmitter.
3) ESC with 1406-2850KV sensored motor combo
Telemetry Capability- Data such as RPM, Voltage, and ESC temperature can be viewed in real-time for monitoring purposes, to add performance advantages rather than leaving you in the dark.
Telemetry provides a level of protection while increasing performance.
The Mamba Micro X arrives telemetry ready, allowing owners of the Futaba T4PX transmitters to purchase the Castle Telemetry Link S Bus 2.

The Mamba X is the latest in RC Castle Motors ESC technology. Designed originally to out power 1:10 scale buggies and trucks, but the mamba x has great race capabilities for the 1:8 scale eBuggy.
After it was tested repeatedly by Team driver and mechanical engineer Taylor James, the Mamba X was approved for ebuggy racing with 2 of the popular 15 series motors.
Note: These are just 2 of the 15 series motors
Mamba X ESC w/ 1515 - 2200KV Sensored 1:8 E-Buggy edition
In most cases this motor is teamed up with the 1/8 scale Monster Mamba ESC, but if you need to reduce weight the Mamba X is capable of handling this motor.
These combinations are ROAR approved, the Mamba X ESC and 1800KV motor were designed for lighter 1/8 scale setups. This application is designed to handle 3s or 4s use in models weighing less than 9 lbs. with gearing producing no more than 45 mph.
If you have a heavier vehicle, need more speed the Mamba X is recommended ( P/N 010-0145-05)

This Next Generation Combo is designed for 1/10 scale models and includes a waterproof ESC. The systems reliability and versatility are key to its high performance.
The Mamba X with a 5mm shaft 2400KV sensored motor is a great application for 1:10 scale 4WD rock racers and trucks, using 3s or 4s LiPo's and weighing less than 6.5 lbs.
It carries good speed, with lots of torque, and carries low temperatures for extreme bashing.

Sidewinder Micro 2 Sport 1:18 Scale Combo with 4100 KV motor
This motor and ESC was designed for 1:18 scale entry level models, capable of handling 2s or 3s LiPo's
w/ 2 amp BEC. This application works well in 1:18 scale 2WD vehicles. or smaller 4WD models weighing up to 2 lbs. Whether your upgrading to a brushless system or simply looking for more power than your current system the Sidewinder Micro 2 may be the solution your searching for.
Features - Sidewinder Micro 2
Audible alerts for excessive load, over-current, high-temperature, radio glitch, voltage-cutoff, and start fail are featured with this system.
Smooth starts are a reality with the updated circuitry.
Realtime telemetry is an option but requires a purchase of Castle Telemetry Link for S BUS 2.
Manual settings can be programmed for motor type, brake amount, voltage cutoff, and Brake / Reverse type.

Sidewinder SCT Combo
Good entry brushless setup !
Amazing power and acceleration. Perfect fit for Slash 4 x 4, i didn't have to make any modifications
Great for 2WD Stampede. Took about 15 min. to install, insane power, you can use it with stock gearing, extended my run time, motor runs much cooler, than my brushed system.
Arrived very well packaged, best packaging i have seen since i have been in R/C. Simple instructions in the booklet it comes with. My HPI Blitz is fast with this setup.
Sidewinder 3 with 5700 KV motor
Great Combo, this is my second brushless combo for my 1:10 scale car. You won't be disappointed with this setup. Does not state amp rating of ESC but seems to be about 80 amp, in other words you will have an abundance of power.
Awesome ! Great Speed, don't use 3s with this combo because it will overheat.
I found it hard to justify spending the money for this combo on a used bandit, but i was tired of brushless motor failures. Now that I have it, the money was well spent. Amazing Power, reliable. I can pull wheelies on demand at any speed. No better upgrade that you can make.
Extremely Fast, maybe to fast for most people. Had to change shocks and add lead weight to keep car on the ground.
Final Thoughts
One thing that I am amazed with is the number of RC Castle Motors and combo setups that they have available. I have just scratched the surface here.
I do recommend you do some homework before choosing any brushless upgrade for your model. Make sure the upgrade is suitable for your particular model and everything will fit and adapt with minimal modifications for a pleasant experience.
