For over 30 years the team at Traxxas has been designing and developing high performance R/C vehicles, including R/C boats cars, quadcopters, and trucks.
Known for their innovative designs, the engineers at Traxxas packed the Traxxas Summit 1 10 with a number of them, including a transmitter operated high / low transmission, with both front and rear locking differentials that can be engaged remotely.
A unique rugged cage protects the Summit on the extremist of terrains.
To climb through and over extremely rough environments the 775 Titan motor provides plenty of torque to complete the mission.
The Traxxas Summit packs the goods to overcome its challenges, the largest stream, the gnarliest of trails, and the meanest of elevations.

The unique ability to shift from low gear to high gear and lock the differentials all from the transmitter, pretty amazing
No time wasted installing locking parts or gears, when the terrain gets rough, drop the Traxxas Summit 1 10 in low gear, and experience the Summit's torque, when its time to blaze the trail shift to high range.
When it's time for climbing traction, simply flip the T - lock switch to engage and lock the front differential.
If you need even more bite, engage and activate the rear T lock differential for full 4 WD action.
LED Lighting System
You won't need to end the fun when the sun goes down. The Traxxas Summit is equipped with an LED lighting system. To lead the way 4 white LED's reveal the terrain ahead, while 6 red LED's illuminate the trail behind.
The LED's are conveniently integrated into the bumpers and protected from external forces, and the electrical wires are protected from snags, and secured with a chassis mounted wiring harness.

To provide the ultimate in off-road protection the realistic looking ExoCage was integrated into the Traxxas Summit's body. The unique feature adds a realistic rock rig look, being strong yet flexible the SUV style body not only looks tough, with its bolt on fender flares and tube style cage, it is as durable as it gets.
Titan Power with Waterproof Electronics
The Traxxas Summit 1 10 gets its power from one of the largest electric motors ever mounted in a monster truck, the Titan 775. The Titan is equipped with a fan cooled armature to help keep the temperatures down.
For extra magnetic field strength an extra wrap of steel surrounds the can.
The EVX -2 ESC on board the Traxxas Summit features 3 drive profiles. Training mode (great for beginners) sport mode, and race mode ( no reverse in race mode).
The EVX - 2 ESC controls the throttle and can handle up to 16.8 volts.
Wet environments are no problem for the monster truck with waterproof electronics on board.
Note: Running through wet environments will require additional care and maintenance on electrical components and to prevent corrosion of metal parts.

TQi Radio System
The 2 channel 2.4 GHz transmitter comes with Traxxas link model memory, it's easy to use design is good for beginners, with a wide array of features for experienced drivers.
Steering and throttle have adjustable end points and trims. Dual rates for steering and braking are available.
Advanced level features are handled with the multi function knob, which can be programmed for a variety of functions.
The TQi transmitter for the Traxxas Summit is equipped with a fail safe system.
In case of signal loss or interference the throttle will return to neutral and steering will be held in its last known position.

Very versatile...........for a bone stock rig it does it all.......one thing overall it is a great truck .......but the driveline needs to be upgraded to a steel driveshaft.......broke 3rd time out.

Truck is fantastic ............had a little challenge programming ESC........small hurdle though.
Benefits are many......In my opinion better than E-Maxx ....good rival for stampede.

Overall Thoughts
As you can see in the video and some of the comments posted the Traxxas Summit 1 10 gets pretty high marks. Although it doesn't have the speed over other models, its versatility and climbing characteristics make it extremely popular and hard to beat.
