Arrma Typhon

Arrma Typhon 6s Brushless 4WD Buggy

Chassis - The low CG chassis is constructed with 0.12" (3mm) aluminum.
Sideguards, along with front and rear braces are molded out of durable composite material.
The Low CG on the Arrma Typhon was designed to handle like a race vehicle, no matter the terrain.
All the electronics are fastened to the aluminum chassis plate, to protect the electronics on-board the model.
The durable side pods were integrated into the design to seal the components from the elements.

Brushless Power - The BLX 2050 KV brushless motor is responsible for putting the power to the ground , and is capable of launching the model close to 60 mph speeds on 6s LiPo batteries.
The BLX brushless motor is perfectly balanced, delivering speed and torque, while complimenting quite nicely with the included BLX ESC system.
Responsible for transferring the massive power created by the BLX brushless motor are the large diameter drive shafts.
To help dissipate heat from the aluminum motor a section of the motor body is finned.
To provide a secure, yet safe pinion gear fit, a flat section has been integrated into the motor shaft.
Note: the original BLX 2050 KV brushless motor has been discontinued and its replacement is readily available for purchase.

Waterproof Electronics
The compact high torque steering servo gets high marks in reviews, it is compact, capable, and reliable for delivering quick, and consistent steering response. The servo houses metal gears and is fully waterproof.
Also included on the Arrma Typhon is a waterproof BLX 180 ESC with a push button programming system that is simple and easy to set up.
The ESC can handle the high speed and power from the motor,  it also accepts and is capable of running up to 6s LiPo battery cells.
The BLX 180 6s Electronic Speed Control is fastened to the chassis, which makes service and maintenance operations easy to complete.

Radio System
Binding is easy with a one touch binding feature.
Controlling the Arrma Typhon is easy with the ATX 100 2.4GHz radio system from Arrma.
The wheel and trigger type radio transmitter from Arrma features servo reversing for both throttle and steering. Trim dials on the ATX 100 are capable of fine tuning the throttle and steering points for increased stability and handling. The steering feature also has dual rates.
When the batteries in the transmitter are running low, the battery LED indicates that to you.

Opinions and Feedback from Drivers ( Pro's and Con's)
Great Buggy for the money.
Extremely fast, handles well.
Stock tires are not great.............be prepared to invest in some upgrades
Great for bashing, spin-outs, and jumping.
One of the few in its class that is ready to run, with 6s capability
By accident I  drove my Arrma Typhon off into a 2 ' ditch full of water, I thought my model was done for, after lifting it out of the water, I  began driving it like nothing happened.
While jumping on 4s the Typhon tended to jump with its nose a bit low, however on 6s was easy to level out no matter what position the nose was in.  Suspension was good on normal jumps, but a bit soft on huge jumps which required sky high landings.
A blast on pavement, plenty of power, handles well, does well in grass as long as the grass is short.

Final Thoughts
As you can see in the video, this model is good for jumping, has plenty of power, and handles quite well.
The Arrma Typhon  is a good multi-terrain vehicle, but is limited in some applications, overall most drivers feel the model is worth the money, realizing that some upgrades may need to be made to fit their driving style.
