Established in 1979, Thunder Tiger made its debut as a local radio controlled product manufacturer. Over the past 38 years Thunder Tiger has become a well known brand in the R/C industry.

Water Cooled Brushless Power
The power-plant on-board the Thunder Tiger RC Boat is a Ripper 2000KV water-cooled IBL- 40/20 brushless motor capable of delivering blistering speeds over the 50mph mark with the appropriate battery setup. The motor is surrounded with an aluminum water jacket that allows water to flow directly around the motor to cool it. Dual pick up points on the rudder and dual outlet ports on each side of the hull provide entry and exit points for the cooling system. For effective cooling separate water lines can be run to the ESC and motor. Controlling the speed is the Ace RC Electronic Speed Controller BLC -180 M. For easy maintenance the power unit and assembly tray can be easily removed for easy modification and upgrades to be completed outside the confines of the hull.
Other beneficial factors with the Olympian's brushless system beyond the speed, are the efficiency and increased run time.
Deep V Hull with High Performance Handling Features
The blow molded aerodynamic design of the the 39.1 " long hull and the sharp pre-painted yellow or green finishes are the latest innovations in RC boat hull configurations. The hull is constructed with ABS plastic so if your wondering it is not a fiberglass hull. The access cover on the Olympian is held down with magnets for easy removal and entry into the electronics and operating components bay.
To hold the batteries firmly in place hooks and straps are utilized, the batteries are positioned into integrated trays that run down both sides of the hull . Batteries can be moved fore or aft to tune or trim the Thunder Tiger RC Boat. In order to handle exciting full speed turns a well designed rudder system has been optimized. For effective performance and handling adjustable trim tabs can be precisely set for maximum handling of the Olympian. To keep the boat grounded in the corners at high speeds a fin set has been incorporated into the model. Controlling the rudder is a high torque waterproof servo with metal gears.
Radio System Cougar GP3
The Thunder Tiger RC Boat features an advanced 2.4GHz radio with a the latest featured programming system that delivers reliable precision control, free from interference. The GP3 system features servo reversing, throttle trim with adjustable travel volume, and dual steering rates.
A low voltage battery alarm and LED battery indicator are also featured on the Cougar GP3.

Not a Beginner Model
