Latrax Alias Quadcopter

3 Flight Modes
Customizable with the Transmitter
Easy Mode- Great for beginners !  The Alias is very Docile in easy mode, with auto leveling and a limited angle of flight. Allowing you to get a feel for the flight controls. To return the Alias to level flight simply release the flight sticks on the transmitter.
Fast Mode-Auto leveling is also featured in fast mode, but the speed, agility and flight angle of the model are increased for a more maneuverable experience. The onboard 6 axis flight system provides amazing stability and auto leveling capablity of the model. Multiple 3D flips, twists and rolls can be customized on the transmitter and executed in fast mode with a push of a button.
Expert Mode-Great step up for those who have mastered the control of the Alias in Fast mode. Auto-Leveling is disabled in expert mode and allows the pilot to have full control of the quadcopter. The rates in expert mode are fully adjustable with the transmitter. Expert mode allows the pilot to perform manual maneuvers with the safety of auto leveling recovery by simply pressing a button on the Transmitter.
Durability
The Latrax Alias is extremely durable as advertised (virtually indestructible) with its molded composite design. Capable of taking everyday abuse, and remains airworthy for another round of flying.
Power
The Alias is powered by 4 individual high output rotors with 50% more power than quadcopters in its class and size range. The Latrax Alias motors combined with its lightweight design make it a extremely fast quadcopter. The motors deliver plenty of power and thrust to perform high speed aerial maneuvers.
Transmitter- controlling the Alias is a 2.4GHz radio system for glitch free flying that eliminates any concern with frequency interference. The transmitter features elevator and trim controls with digital indicators for precise tuning. The controller has an efficient design with a game controller appearance that is comfortable in your hands. An LCD screen on the transmitter allows you to navigate through the menu with ease. Visual and audible warnings are given when a low battery is detected on the alias, letting you know its time to recharge the battery..

LED Lighting
The high intensity LED optics really look cool at dusk or during nightime flying. Extremely important for pilot orientation, visible during day or night. The lights are available in a number of different colors if you decide to customize your Alias to your liking.

ADVANTAGES
Latrax Alias Quadcopter with LED Optics

Multiple Skill Levels
Great choice for a variety of skill levels from beginners to experts with Alias's 3 flight modes, allows you to advance at your own pace.
Durable
There is no doubt in my mind about the durability of the Alias. It is was definitely designed with the beginner in mind. With that being said, it is capable of withstanding some punishment.
Affordable
If you compare the features on the Alias with other quads in its class that are on the market today and it won't take you long to figure out it is well worth the money
Parts Availability and Support
Whether your needing parts or thinking about customizing your Latrax Alias, parts are readily available. Backed with outstanding support you can count on from Traxxas,  there to assist you with any problem or questions you may have. They also have a wide variety of videos available, from your first flight to repairing or replacing parts on your Alias.

DISADVANTAGES

Brushed Motors
The life of the brushed motors is limited.  On the Alias life can be extended if proper care is taken, it is recommended that you let the motors cool down between flights.
As with any brushed motor they tend to wear and the longevity depends on several factors, life is shortened quite rapidly, if you strike objects with the blades turning.
Thumb Pads
Those who have been in the RC Hobby for a while are used to the stick type controls over the thumb pads that the younger generation feels right at home with. To address the issue Latrax has included a pair of stick type controls that can be easily swapped out for those that choose to do so.

LATRAX ALIAS OVERALL

I personally would recommend this quadcopter to anyone whether your a  beginner or an expert. This affordable, durable, multi skill level quad hard to beat. The design and features from Latrax on this model have been well received from RC enthusiasts around the world. No wonder it has become one of the top selling Quadcopters on the market today..
